Hello!

I would like to request a new feature that will help me to save my time.

The idea is to use a physical key (like keys by yubiko or by any else manufacturer with same protocol in use) instead of typing a very very long password to open the client.

I think that it'll be very useful.

Thanks

@crabovwik - thanks for the suggestion! You can already use a Yubikey to sign into your 1password.com account, but there's no equivalent for that with your Master Password in the local client 1Password apps. The reason for this has to do with the differences between authentication and encryption. In 1Password for Mac (or Windows), you're working directly with the encrypted data file on disk, in a SQLite database. To unlock it, no authentication is involved; you must use your Master Password. There's no remote server to authenticate to, so no authentication factors are needed - or possible.
