What does 1password do? It is installed but it never prompts for passwords or fills them in
I have used password managers for years, but decided to switch to 1password because I had heard good reviews. After installing on Firefox, it does not do anything. It never prompts to save a new login, never tries to fill in anything (not sure what that would even look at - my screen never shows what the video shows). Apparently it is nothing more than an icon in my toolbar that brings me to a blank page.
What have I "installed"?

I am sorry to hear you had troubles getting started with 1Password!
It sounds like you created a 1Password account, installed 1Password X in the browser, and bumped into a known issue:
Blank page when using 1Password X
We've seen this behavior when either of the following preferences are set in Firefox:
- Never remember history
- Always use private browsing mode
Disabling either of those preferences should allow 1Password X to function as expected. Could you please give it a try and let me know if the issue remains? Also, please check the following guide about 1Password X:
