AutoFill appears to mean 'manual fill'. What am I missing?
When I am using 1Password to log into a website via one of my Mac browsers, I often see a button labeled "AutoFill". Clicking the button fills one or more of the fields in the login page. It seems like the label is incorrect. What it does is 'manual fill'. Why do you call it 'AutoFill'? What am I missing?

We call it AutoFill because it does the filling for you. What you are doing when you click that button is telling 1Password to enter your credentials on the web page you are currently viewing (1Password does nothing unless prompted by you), and 1Password will then autofill that data on the page without you having to copy and paste username and passwords manually :)

Thanks for clarifying. It still seems to me that 'Fill' is an accurate description of the action. Using the term 'AutoFill' was confusing to me, and probably to other users.

I am not personally a fan of the term "Autofill" either, because it's been used for very different things in the past. But given it's prevalence in both Apple and Google ecosystems now, I will grudgingly accept it for consistency. :lol:
