Command-Backspace issue

I just "upgraded" to 1Password 7 and I can't get passwords to fill using command-. The suggestion window pops up, but when I hit return to fill the username and password nothing happens. Any suggestions? I have restarted my MacBook and Safari is up to date.

    I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty filling. Could you please answer these four questions for me?

    1. Is this happening on all websites, or only on particular ones?
    2. If the latter, could you please let us know the URLs to those websites?
    3. When you open 1Password mini does it have the Login that you want to fill selected?
    4. If so does clicking on the "AutoFill" button cause the credentials to be filled?

    @ceheimberg: thank you for the answers! Does your 1Password 7 show you a "read-only" message anywhere perhaps?
