Mac app store unable to automatically install system or app updates while 1Password is open

Hi!

I've been having a problem where, although my Mac is set to install updates overnight, I sometimes get an error message saying my computer was unable to install system updates because 1Password prevented the system from restarting. I also frequently encounter a system pop-up saying something like (very rough paraphrase) "can't install updates while 1Password is open". Pressing "Okay" sometimes successfully quits 1Password, allowing whatever update the system was attempting, but sometimes even that doesn't work and I have to manually quit 1Password from the menu bar.

I noticed some old forum threads from last year discussing this issue, but nothing recent. Is this still a known issue?

    Hi @ryafitzgerald! Welcome to the forum!

    We did indeed fix this in version 7.2 last year, but we have seen this happen from time to time again, so we are looking at this again. You should see a fix for this in one of the next updates ;)
