is there a systematic way to set up 1Password for multiple MacOS computers and iOS devices?

Right now I have passwords saved (alternately and/or multiply) on Firefox and Safari web browsers, 1Password, as well as on Keychain Access on each Apple device. Would like to consolidate everything under 1Password and then generate more secure passwords for everything.

Can anyone outline the basic steps (in the best order) to accomplish this? Thanks in advance
