Secure Desktop and Remote Desktop Control Software

Hello Community,

I have a question about secure desktop feature. Will that isolate the password input process from a remote desktop tool such as proctorU?

Thank you

    Hi @Severin_Z,

When you press "Unlock on Secure Desktop" in 1Password 7, 1Password creates an isolated desktop where only the specific list of processes are allowed to run on that desktop, in our case, only 1Password-authorized processes. I believe that your remote desktop tool will also be blocked, but you can always give it a try yourself.

Secure Desktop helps protect against key loggers. The "Enter Master Password" dialog appears on another desktop (that we temporarily create ourselves), and Windows messages do not travel across desktops. Key loggers are thus precluded from spying on the (keyboard) messages.

Let me know if it answers your question. Thanks! :+1:
