Good morning!

It's only been a few days since our last feature-packed update but we have more still to share with you this week.

New repository URLs

As we prepare for the upcoming full release of 1Password for Linux, we have begun to set up our production release channels. When you update to 8.0.33-79, your package manager (apt or rpm) should automatically switch you over to the new beta channel. Stay tuned for more information about the release channels and packages that will be available.

Browser integration in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS

Two enterprise Linux distributions can now connect to 1Password in the browser! If you use RHEL or similar, let us know about your experience with browser integration.

OpenSSL -> Rustls

We have completed our long migration from OpenSSL to Rustls in the app backend. This should not only bring improved security, but also fewer dependencies and better compatibility with older Linux distributions.

Installing and upgrading

Go to the getting started guide for instructions on installing or updating 1Password.
