Hey @tonyle ,
Do you mean that when you open the 1Password desktop app and try to open and fill this website from there, the browser comes up with a blank page?
If so, can you please tell me what is the exact URL that is displayed in the 1Password desktop app when you look at that login item?0 -
Hi @ag_yaron,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, the page comes up blank in Chrome. Here's the URL it displays:
https://starone.org/?turftldlqdpmfzwrdhvo43fs44=fgl6o7syw643qrjullenekroye
Note that I generated this from a test entry with different login info from my actual account, lest the URL fill in my real login details if it were to work in the future.

Hey @tonyle ,
Thanks for sharing the URL.I wasn't able to open that URL and got a blank error page instead, because the part after the
.com/
of the URL is a temporary session key that is generated automatically when you reach the page. So 1Password is saving that URL with the temporary session key in it, then the session expires and this link is no longer valid. Please edit your login item for this website in 1Password, and delete all the excess part of the URL, so that the only thing 1Password stores is
https://starone.org
.Save the changes, then see if you are able to open and fill this website from now on.

Hi @ag_yaron. Sorry, I misunderstood your first message and thought you'd asked me to provide the URL that 1Password was entering into the Chrome address field. The website in 1Password itself is in fact just
https://starone.org
, but when I click the field to open and fill it fills in the query portion of the URL which results in a blank screen.0 -
Thanks for clarifying @tonyle .
I find it strange that the URL changes when you reach the page. I'm testing it here and when I open and fill it remainshttps://starone.org
without all the excess part of the query.I'd like to try this on a cleaner environment if you don't mind. We can achieve this by creating a new user profile in your browser. If you know how to open a new user profile, please do so now, switch into the new browser profile, install only 1Password in it and see if the issue persists. Wen you are done testing, you can switch back to your main profile.
If you're not sure how to open a new user profile in your browser, let me know which browser you are using and I'll provide you with the relevant instructions.

Hi @ag_yaron. I created a test profile in Chrome, removed any extensions it tried to auto-install, and installed only the 1Password extension. This time around, I tried opening Star One from the extension rather than the app, and it filled the address bar with only
starone.org
. Then I tried doing this from my own profile and it worked as well.So I went back to opening Star One from the app and sure enough, it appends the query string in both cases, whether I have my user profile or the test profile open.

That's a great find @tonyle .
I was able to reproduce it here. Not quite sure what is causing it, so I'll forward it to our developers.
I'm glad to hear open and fill works correctly from within the extension itself. Thanks for reporting this! I'll let you know if we need anything else :)
