Crowd-sourced Rich Icons

Hi 1Password team,

Some icons related to some websites may be outdated after rebrands, or may not exist for lesser known sites. At present, 1Password allows us overwrite these icons by uploading our own. Some users have their own collection of custom icons to deal with this.

I am proposing that we host the icons on GitHub so that the community is able to contribute icons for new sites or update existing ones. Your CDN can refresh the icons from this repo on a periodic basis. To aid with this process, it would also be great if your team could specify guidelines on the repository, so that contributors are clear on what the PR needs in order to be merged.

Hoping that this could be considered. Thank you!

    Hey @runningturtle

Thanks for the suggestion! We do accept submissions for Rich Icons from the community, though admittedly there isn't as formal a process currently as what you've described. At present the best way to submit these is either with a post here, or via email to support@1password.com.

I will pass along the suggestion that we create a more robust system for submissions. :+1:
