Signing up for Kohl's.com account, don't understand how new "1Password in the Browser" works

Options

Disclaimer: I usually use 1Password in Firefox, with the classic extension, as I am a standalone customer.

But, knowing that 1Password works differently in Safari, I decided to try it out to see if I could get used to the new, non-classic workflow, as described here:

https://support.1password.com/save-fill-passwords/

I filled out all the information, it autofilled my email address and suggested a password, but it never offered to save the password when I submitted the form, nor was there a Save in 1Password button to click before submitting the form. What went wrong? As someone who has used 1Password since version 3, this new reimagined experience seems completely counterintuitive. It doesn't even seem to match what's described in the link above.

I picked Kohl's at random, just as a way to create a new login somewhere that I didn't already have one.

1Password Version: 7.9.1
Extension Version: Safari
OS Version: Mac OS 10.14.6

    Hey @wj1pfan ,

Is this the login page you tested on? https://www.kohls.com/myaccount/kohls_login.jsp
If so, when I type something into the username or password field I do get the "Save in 1Password" button option. If you're not seeing it, please provide me with a detailed step-by-step of every click and action you perform on the page that leads to the inability to save in 1Password.

You can also test it on our test website: https://fill.dev/all
