Google's new Blink rendering engine for Chromium/Chrome
Google has announced that it will be branching off of WebKit.
I'm assuming there are 1Password implications. Has a preliminary analysis been conducted or is today's announcement so new that further study is required before any first thoughts can be published or speculated upon?
One implication for Apple
For some time now Apple could rely on Google to make WebKit as fast and reliable as possible. Apple, thus, effectively gained a better Safari for Macs and i-devices thanks, in part, to Google's labors. Now it will have to go it alone.

From the Chromium Blog announcement:
In the short term, Blink will bring little change for web developers. The bulk of the initial work will focus on internal architectural improvements and a simplification of the codebase.
As you might imagine, we'll continue to monitor the browser landscape and plan/develop accordingly as we have always done. :)
As you mention, though, it is still far too early to know how or even if this will really impact 1Password much at all. If there is anything new to report, you can be sure we will be here in the forum discussing it if not posting about it on our blog and Twitter.
