Successfully recovered family member’s password but it’s only working in the website from the email

After recovering a family member’s account, we can login through the website if we click on the email that says your account was successfully recovered. However we can’t login to any devices. We can only log in to the website if we use the link from the email.

This is very frustrating because every time you try to do anything it prompts for the 1Password master password and it doesn’t work even though it does work if you click on the email and login directly to the website. Possibly complicating things is the fact that we seem to have our own domain name preceding 1password.com, I’m not sure how common it is for people to do it that way.

  • @dumbuser Account recovery generates a new secret key for the user being recovered. Are you using their new secret key to login to the website?

    Once your able to sign-in to the website then update the 1Password Account login entry with the new secret key.
