Where Does Sync Happen?
I have an account, am using 1P Mac 8.6.0, and syncing works instantaneously across my devices.
If not through Dropbox or iCloud, then sync is 'through' IPassword. While my data may not sit on a server, it still has to pass through something somewhere. What, and where, is that? (Glossary said not to call it a 'server.' But then, what is it? What path does it take?)
1Password Version: Mac 8.6.0
Extension Version: Safari 2.2.3
OS Version: macOS 12.2.1

@DoggieMan The sync takes place through 1Password's cloud servers. They hold a copy of your data that is encrypted with your account password and secret key. Your account password and secret key remain on your device and are never sent to 1Password. This allows them to sync your data across devices without ever having access to that data.

If you want more details there's the 1Password white paper:

Hey @DoggieMan:
As @rootzero mentioned (thanks for the assist! :sunglasses:), your items are automatically available across all your devices when using a 1Password account.
Be sure to get in touch if you need anything in the future!
