No Safari extension after upgrade

Presumably after the last beta update the Safari extension was deleted.
I tried to install the extension from the App Store but the the extension would not appear in the Safari preferences.
Is there a special browser extension for this beta release?
Thanks
Victor

  • On behalf of Jack you're welcome.

A bug, yes. Exactly where? It could be something in macOS, what's even weirder is some of us have not experienced this. Deep down those that have may find some super rare commonality. Here's hoping the development team either here or on Apple's end can find and eliminate the trouble.

    Hey victorkr:

If you've downloaded 1Password for Safari from the App Store, let's try refreshing Safari's extension registrations. To do that, follow these steps:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Open the Terminal app on your Mac: https://support.apple.com/guide/terminal/open-or-quit-terminal-apd5265185d-f365-44cb-8b09-71a064a42125/mac
    3. Paste the following into Terminal and then press enter to run the command: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -f -R /Applications/Safari.app (this command should be one line when pasted into Terminal)
    4. Open Safari and try to enable 1Password for Safari again.

Let me know how you get on with that! 🙂
