I have a "key" symbol for Facebook and my password is gone. Can I use the key to get back in?

For some reason, Facebook on my desktop (which I rarely use) is asking me to log in. My "Login" is not in my vault. (Im sure I would have set it up there initially) I tried to copy my password from 1Password "key" and it is invisible. Before I go ahead and reset my password, is there a way to use my "key" to get back in to Facebook? (There is no problem accessing the Facebook app on my devices)

Hey @Basalt! I hope you're doing well. I'm a little confused about the key that you're trying to use to sign into Facebook. Are you referring to your Secret Key for your 1Password account? Your Secret Key for 1Password can only be used to sign into your 1Password account. Here's an article on what your 1Password Secret Key is: https://support.1password.com/secret-key-security/

Facebook seems to make use of their own security keys: https://www.facebook.com/help/401566786855239. However, in their documentation, they say that their security keys are not a replacement for passwords. If your login is not saved to 1Password and you do not know it, the only option may be to reset your password. Make sure to save that new password to 1Password. Let us know how things go or if you have any other questions.
