Gift card in Germany

Hello, can I also use the gift card in Germany, because when I buy them they are always in dollars?
Does that work anyway?
i would then pay by paypal only if it works .

    Hi @waldkautzi !

    Actually, Gift Cards are only valid for 1Password.com accounts. If you are using a membership on 1Password.com you are able to redeem a Gift Card. It doesn't matter which country you are coming from.

    If your account is on 1Password.eu or 1Password.ca you are not able to redeem a Gift Card.

    I'm also coming from Germany and my account is on 1Password.eu. So I'm not able to redeem a Gift Card. There are some requests for bringing Gift Cards to 1Password.eu / 1Password.ca, but that's not that easy. Hopefully this will be changed in the future. 👍

    As @DenalB mentioned (thanks for the assist! 😎), 1Password gift cards are only available on 1Password.com.

    The region of your 1Password account (.com, .ca, .eu) determines a few things:

    • 1Password.com accounts are billed in USD and your data is stored in the United States
    • 1Password.ca accounts are billed in CAD, and your data is stored in Canada
    • 1Password.eu accounts are billed in EUR, and your data is stored in the European Union.

    Try to log in to these websites:

    Which one is working for you? If it is https://my.1password.com, you are able to use Gift Cards.

    How does it actually work when the credit is empty?
    Do you get a message then ?

    Indeed, you'll receive a message when your billing date is approaching, and you can either add another gift card, or add another form of payment.
