How does form autofill present itself

I am evaluating Password Managers to see if I can get better support for auto-form filling. Specifically I want to be able to add a custom field and be able to manually reference it from the form field.

However, I just do not understand how the form filling works in 1Password I was expecting to right-click a field but all I get is lock, save login, and help. How do you reference your profile field values?

    With 1Password, you can customize your items to allow for easier filling. That said, it's not a perfect science, as our ability to accurately fill all sites, across the web, varies depending on how the site is designed.

    Are you able to, perhaps, share an example of a site where you'd have to customize your autofilling experience?
