What metadata in shared vaults are private vs shared?

I use 1Password Family to share some vaults with my family members. I'm wondering about what metadata associated with password entries are private to me, versus shared among everyone who can access that vault.

  1. Tags. Let's say in the shared vault, there is a login (e.g., Amazon online shopping). I would like to tag this password as "Shopping." My dad might want to tag it as "Online." Are tags private or shared?
  2. Display in browser settings. Let's say in the shared vault, there are two entries for distinct Amazon accounts: Amazon (me) and Amazon (dad). I want to hide Amazon (dad) in browser. My dad might want to hide Amazon (me) in browser. Is this setting private or shared?

Wondering what other metadata are private or shared in these vaults!

Many thanks :)

  • Hi @almondmilk1,

Tags are part of the shared item and would be visible to all family members within the account, display in browser settings however would be independent from each other and are set on a person to person basis.

    I hope that helps!
