How to Upgrade Version 7 Subscription from App Store to Version 8 and Not Pay Twice

I have read all of your instructions about upgrading but am thoroughly lost on this issue

  1. What I have: 1Password 7, Version 7.9.4 (70904002), Mac App Store- My annual subscription renewed again there several months ago.
  2. I have to download 1Password8 from you to use it, which is not in the App Store, which I understand.
  3. Question- How can I do this so I do not lose what I have paid for in the App Store already for the coming year for App Store Version 7 without having to pay again to subscribe directly with 1Password for Version 8? I only want to keep Version 8 after doing this. How can I do this and not lose what I have already prepaid in the App Store for Version 7, which I would get rid of?
