Can I change my subscription period?

I decided to buy a subscription, but I accidentally paid the annual fee.
I know that there is an option to change this period, but I don't know if this change will be reflected after one year when the annual fee finishes.

It is possible to get a refund for this annual fee so I can pay on a monthly bias?
