Any experience of v8 Safari browser extension? Comment on App store are appalling

Just downloaded v8, and was then directed to the Mac App store to get the Safari extension. The comments there are universally terrible. Two give two stars, all the rest one star!!

I really don't want to downgrade my user experience. For what? Has anyone anything more positive to say about the v8 extension?

And how do I revert to v7 until these issues are sorted out?
