Found instructions on the internet not corresponding to reality re: category creation.
Apple ID seems no longer to allow viewing older, created, app-specific passwords. I want, therefore, to create a category -- say, "App-Specific" -- in my vault. I have found only one answer (Other than "It can't be done,") on the internet, but it does not correspond to reality as I presently perceive it. So . . . can category creation be done?

To clarify, are you referring to creating an entirely new category, in the vein of Logins / Secure Notes / Passwords?
There isn't any way of creating a new top level category. If you'd like to store app-specific passwords, tagging them with
App-Specific Passwords
and storing them in the Passwords category would be your best bet.Jack
