No options available for automatically generated passwords on the web

When i want to generate a new password on a website, i can't choose any password option, e.g. password length, number of special characters, etc. By default, the generated passwords are not as long and don't include as many special character as i'd like. Is it possible to configure somewhere ?

1Password Version: 8.8.0
Extension Version: 2.3.7

  • Hi @agiraud

Here are the steps to access the password generator in your browser:

    1. Click on the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar
    2. Select the Menu icon next to the search bar and choose Password Generator

Within here you can configure the type and length of your suggested passwords and set your default for suggestions.

    I hope this helps!

I would like to know why this feature was moved all the way up to the browser extension icon (hidden by default in all Chromium browsers), and buried behind a tiny menu icon?

This is so much more complicated than before. With 1Password 7.x, I could hit cmd+/, and "generate password" was right there in the dialog, and I could copy, edit, and save login items from the same place.

Why did you complicate this in the new version?
