Incorrect helper text says underscores are okay (this forum)

Hello! When signing up for this forum I went to sign up I tried to use my usual name which has a period in it. I was told it wasn't allowed (fair, about half of places don't, haha), but it says underscores are okay. So I used an underscore, but then was told that wasn't okay either. :D
