This feature was available previously. I do lock my computer.

    You can manage your auto lock settings from within your 1Password desktop app. Here's how:

    There is a limit of 300 minutes before autolock kicks in. There used to be a provision for disabling auto-lock.
    For a user in a secure place, shouldn't I have the option to disable ?

    Hello,
    Settings > Security > You can disable "Lock 1Password when the computer locks (...)".
    And in the options "Lock after the system has been idle during..." you can choose Never
