1Password for Safari on MAC stopped working after a few weeks- what to do?
I have been using 1P for Mac for a few weeks after upgrading to the subscription from a license. I installed 1P for Safari on my MAC and it worked fine but now no longer works. When I click the 1P icon at the top of a web page on Safari, an empty window opens and a circle spins showing it's trying to load data but nothing appears and it just keeps spinning. I have also recently upgraded to MAC OS 12.6 (Monterrey) and wonder if that could be the problem. Please help.

Hello @frustrated2! 👋
I'm so sorry to hear that 1Password for Safari isn't loading on your Mac. Can you please try the following steps:
- Close all open web browsers.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
- Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Application folder.
- Open your web browser.
- If you still encounter the issue then please restart your Mac.
Let me know if that fixes the issue. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂

Before I heard from you I quit everything & restarted. That worked as I imagine your suggestion would too. Thanks

I'm having the same issue on my Mac but the above procedure didn't fix the issue. I reinstalled the Safari extension too. The 1Password option shows up next to the username and PW fields but clicking on it does nothing. It works fine in Chrome though. I'd rather use Safari since it's not such a battery hog on the laptop.

Did you try restarting your Mac to see if that resolves the issue? If it doesn't then what happens when you click on the 1Password icon in Safari's toolbar (not inside of a username or password field):

I'm getting all kinds of bugs with mine - it simply doesn't work as it should. Sometimes it thinks I have an empty vault. Sometimes it refuses to do anything at all. It's really a mess right now.

When I click on the icon, I get the window shown here. When I click on the appropriate field for the website I'm trying to access, autofill for example, it doesn't fill in the username or PW field in the login. There is a 1Password icon next to those fields and clicking on that brings up a dropdown with the appropriate 1Password link to that website, but nothing happens when I click on it.
But I've also noticed it does work on some websites but not others.

Ack. Could you guys please delete my screenshot that's showing my email? Duh..

It sounds like we may not be showing a suggestion as if a URL is not saved in the login. Can you confirm the login have a valid URL and matches the site in question?

@ag_tommy - there is a url, the vault is there - it seems to crash and require a full force quit to get it working again (for a while)

It's hit or miss with various websites. Some work, some don't. Chrome works fine. I'm on a MacBook Pro M1 Max running the latest Monterey. My 1Password8 is up to date also.

Hey @mkingsley,
I have tested https://identity.wa.aaa.com/Account/Login and don't seem to be experiencing issues.
Can you try the below steps to manually save you login to see if get things working on this page:
- Visit the sign-in page
- Enter your username and password. Don’t click Sign In.
- Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser’s toolbar and choose Save Login.
- Give the login a name, choose a vault, then click Save.
Now test to see if you can fill your login.
I hope this helps!

After entering my log-in info and then right-click the 1Password icon, and then hit save login, the whole page grays slightly and becomes unresponsive. I can't click on anything.

It's happened again now - i'm not sure how a screenshot is going to help as it just shows you what i'm telling you that it can't see the vault. I'm going to have to e-mail logs over aren't I? Can you tell me how to get them and how I should address the e-mail.
