1pass autofill fails to update the input value in React app

I am working on a React app using Chakra UI. This app has a email + password field. After implementing all the suggested 1pass tricks to make it easier for 1pass to autofill information (from https://developer.1password.com/docs/web/compatible-website-design/), the autofill UI shows up, but clicking on the 1pass UI does not actually update the <input> components with the suggested password/email.

This form is embedded and served in an <iframe> component, which is a requirement that cannot be changed.

Do you have any suggestions on making it work?
