Not able to use 1Password in any browser

Options

Not able to sign into 1Password in any browser, states I have signed in too many times, try again later; not acceptable. Originally 1Password was working in both Edge & Chromes, but only for password retrieval, would not allow me to save any new logins. Kept getting "Unable to save at this time" error message. So I remove 1Password from both browsers, restarted PC and re-added 1Password. Now I am not able to use 1Password at all in either browser, not able to even log into it.

1Password Version: 8.9.5

  • Hey @laboyiv69,

I'm sorry for the trouble you have been experiencing.

Can you describe what happens when you try to use 1Password in your browser? Do you see a 1Password icon in your browser toolbar? What happens when you click on it?

This information would be really useful.

I click on the 1Password icon on the Chrome browsers and a login box appears that states "Open 1Password" as a click button. I click on this button and nothing happens. I am not able to move forward and login.

The same scenario is happening for Microsoft Edge as well.

I have removed and readded the extension in each browser to no avail.

  • Thanks for the update @laboyiv69.

Can you give the below steps a try and let me know if it improves things:

    1. Right click on the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose Settings
    2. Disable the setting that says 'Integrate with 1Password app'
    3. Restart your entire computer to ensure there are no pending processes
    4. Open and unlock your 1Password desktop app
    5. Open your browser and re enable that integration setting.

Let me know how you get on!
