How to make right email/username autofill for non existend account?

When I create a new account and windows prompts for the email, I always have two options: my username and my home email address, sometimes, I need to fill in the work email, and as I said before, it does not appear automatically. How can I control what emails will autofill for me?

  • You're welcome @Demianeen.

  • @Demianeen are you referring to your phone number?

You can also add phone numbers within Identity Items. They won't appear in the inline menu beneath a field but you will be able to fill them if you click on the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and then click 'Autofill' next to the Identity Item.

    I hope this helps!

@Joy_1P by the way, can I add the number auto-filling?

@Demianeen it is possible with some tweaks but it won't work well. For example, you can add a second email address to the Identity but it's likely that only the main email address will be filled. I would recommend having an Identity for each email address you use. Usernames should be added to login items so that those can fill from there. It's best to have one username per login item.

Can I have multiple emails or multiple usernames in one identity?

  • Hey @Demianeen,

You will need to create a new Identity Item with your work email address, here's how:

    1. Click on the 1Password icon in your browse toolbar and sign in.
    2. Choose + New Item > Identity.
    3. Add you work email within Internet Details section.
    4. Give it a title and click 'Save'.

    I hope this helps!
