Reset 1password on Mac

I forgot my password and could change is using the recovery link sent by the team. Now I can not log into 1password app installed on my Mac. How do I reset this app?

    Thanks for asking about resetting the 1Password app on Mac. Before taking this action, it's best to work with our support team to determine if there is any risk of data loss when resetting the app. There may also be another way to sign back into the app, so please email support@1password.com so we can discuss this with you privately.

    One thing you can try to get signed back in without resetting:

    1. Sign in to your account online.
    2. Click on your name in the top left and pick Get the Apps from the drop down
    3. Click the "Add your account directly" button on this page.
    4. This will open up the 1Password app with a sign-in page including your new Secret Key. Add your new account password and click the sign in button.
    5. If this doesn't immediately help you to sign in, it can sometimes be helpful to click the sign in button a few more times after confirming the details are correct.
