Filter for untagged items

I want to filter for untagged entries so I can go through each one and add the appropriate tag. When I type "=untagged:" into search bar and hit enter, it shows the full list rather than the filtered list. There does appear to be a temporary filter list under the search bar as I type, but it does not stay up if I select one of the entries and I have to retype in the filter each time. I have hundreds of entries to go through.

I have the same question on categories and curious if I should be using tags or catagories to filter and show entries.

    Hello @ctslaton! ๐Ÿ‘‹

You can search for items that don't have a tag by following these steps:

    1. Open the 1Password 8 app on a Mac, Windows, or Linux device.
    2. Type the following into the search bar: =untagged:
    3. Press Command-Enter (not just Enter).

I have the same question on categories and curious if I should be using tags or catagories to filter and show entries.

You can use either depending on your preference and needs. Our guide on using search in 1Password is here: Search 1Password to find what you need

    I hope that helps! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Dave. It was the CTRL-Enter that I was missing and did not see in the article or elsewhere.
