tried to change from family to individual v.8 but said name existed already

just got v.8 but had v.7 expired trial that we could not roll over to v.8 so in you system somewhere is the same e-mail address for both. Will uninstalling v.7 cancel all that account info there or is there some way else to get v.8 to individual (took family in error)??? thx
