SSH and git sign with SSH key on remote linux server
I am using my Ubuntu 20.04 laptop both as a regular laptop and as a server that I sometimes remotely connect to.
I installed 1password8 on it and configured 1password to work with ssh and git signing.
Problem:
1. In a ssh session, when I run git commit, the password prompt window shows up on the ubuntu laptop screen rather than in the terminal. If I am not next to the laptop, I won't be able to enter password.
2. If the ubuntu restarts, and I run git commit
, I get Error error: Could not connect to socket. Is the agent running?
.
Question:
I want to be able to use ubuntu like a remote server as well, how can I do this.
