Do regular folders get re-created as vaults in 1Password?

I noticed that when importing credentials from LastPass into 1Password that shared folders get recreated and named accordingly with 'Imported' prefixed to the name, but regular (not shared folders) are not re-created as vaults in 1Password. Is this to be expected or am I doing something wrong
