autofill in Safari doesn't work for some websites
Hi there,
I recently upgraded 1p from version 7 to 8. I noticed that the auto-fill feature in Safari doesn't work on some websites. Two websites of these websites are: www.hbomax.com and www.discogs.com. I've allowed the extension to access these websites, however, nothing auto-populates when I click on the extension. This auto-fill feature does work on other websites such as https://account.adobe.com in Safari. I also use Chrome and here I can use auto-fill on the websites mentioned above without any problem. The problem seems to be limited to Safari. What could be the cause of this?
1Password Version: 8.10.4
Extension Version: 2.10.0
OS Version: macOS 13.3.1(a)
Browser:_ Safari

Hey @mclaus,
I have done some testing on both of these website and things seemed to fill ok on my end. Can you start by letting me know the website URL's that you have saved within the two items?
Can you also let me know the steps you are taking to fill the credentials? Are you seeing an error message at all?
Thank you!

Hi @steph.giles ,
I've saved the following URL's in 1Password for two websites that do not auto-fill in Safari:
For HBO Max: https://play.hbomax.com/signIn
For Discogs.com: https://accounts.discogs.comI do not receive an error. When I navigate to one of both websites, I click on the 1password plugin in the top menubar of Safari and the following popup appears;
Clicking on 'Autofill' has no effect. Nothing happens. If I click on the icon in the input field of the login part of the website, also nothing happens.
If I visit the same website in Chrome, the plugin auto-fills without any issues;
I also made sure the plugin has 'Allow' permissions for all websites;
Thank you!

Hey @mclaus,
I see we were able to get to the bottom of things over email, let us know if there is anything else we can help with at all!

@steph.giles is it possible to share the solution here? I have EXACTLY the same problem on my end. It works on Chrome, but not on Safari (which is my default browser).

Hey @The2ndOctave,
In this scenario Safari's keychain was interfering and the steps in this guide got things back on track: Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser.
Could you describe the issue you are seeing so I can best advise?
Thank you!
