I upgraded to version 8 on my PC without any problems.
I will do this upgrade on my iphone = > I have to go through the Apple Store and it asks me to confirm the credit card to use
= > the upgrade is not free????

1Password 8 is a separate app, however it uses the same membership and login info as your 1Password 7 subscription.
