I have a high profile user that has several delegated new sessions. When does 1p log and note that? What does it mean?

  • Hi @eugevon,

    I'll be happy to answer this. The delegated a new session entry has to deal with unlocking 1Password (when connected to the desktop app) and the entry will appear in the Activity Log in the following cases:

    • The session will be delegated when the extension is first installed and has the desktop app to connect to;
    • The extension is being unlocked (only if it's connected to the desktop app);
    • It can also be triggered if your session expires and the 1Password service asks the desktop app for a new one (common if your computer has been asleep for a while);
    • When signing in to the 1Password CLI

    This may change in the future as new features and integrations are added and improved.

    Thanks. So generally speaking not a cause for alarm.

  • Happy to assist, and that's absolutely right that these entries are no cause for concern, eugevon.
