1password chrome plugin keeps asking for secret key
essentially what's in the topic. i'm on chrome 117.0.5938.132 and when i click on the 1password logo next to the address bar, instead of asking me for my passphrase to unlock the vaults, the app asks me to sign in with email, and then email, secret key and password. of which i only memorize the first and third, and … putting the second on a postit on the screen or in a different password manager seem to defeat the purpose of using 1password. any ideas how to debug? what settings to check?

Hi @pseyfert thanks for reaching out.
I have some questions to help me better understand what's going wrong.
1. Can you let me know if you clear Chrome's history often?
2. Do you use a VPN or antivirus software?
3. Do you use any other browser extensions in your Chrome browser?Let me know if you have any questions!

1 never did. chrome's history claims it goes back only 5 days, but typing into the address bar i get suggestions from longer back than that.
2. no
3. my extensions are 1Password, FastScroll, Google Docs Offline0 -
PS: i'm logged in in chrome with a google account that's sync'ed to a second device. on that other device (don't have it with me right now to check version info) 1password keeps its secret.

Hey @pseyfert,
Thank you for getting back to us with this information.
Are you using Chrome in a private window?
If you right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and scroll down to the Accounts & Vaults section, do you see your 1Password account listed here?
