assign ssh keys with hosts (change order of keys) when having many ssh keys
Hey everybody.
I've noticed that I couldn't login via ssh anymore on a couple machines and figured out that sshd_config defaults to max 6 retries to authenticate (at least on my ubuntu machine). With the comfort of having ssh keys in 1Password I switched to having a unique key per host (which I remember is actually recommended), but now I'm running into the issue that the offered keys exceed easily the retry limit of the ssh server.
So, first of all, do you guys know if there's a new default maybe for sshd_config which is more generous?
Or, is there any other solution available?
best wishes

Hey XIII,
thanks for your hint, yes, I know this option but with that I'd have to edit
~/.ssh/config
on every host I use 1Password with - with changing hosts over time if you imagine virtual machines f.e.Is there a way to centrally manage configs through 1Password?

also the docs here aren't super helpful ... the order of keys only helps up to a certain number of keys, I can't assign keys to hosts as it seems.
