No Standalone PW Generator
Hi,
I saw another ask this question, but for some reason I couldn't respond to it. I also think having the 1Password stand alone PW generator on a separate web page is a pain in the neck. Someone asked why this was necessary. It's not always needed - in fact mostly not needed. BUT occasionally I'm logging into a website that 1Password will not link to. It won't pop up a 'suggested' PW, so I have to make one up myself, and hence have to navigate to your PW generator, make one, copy it, paste it into the page I was on and THEN I can save it in 1Password. Would be nice to just have something in the app or browser pop up to 'force' it to give it new PW.

Hello @GeoffMeissner! 👋
I'm sorry that 1Password isn't offering a suggested password. Are you able to share a link to the web page where you're seeing this issue? I can file a bug report with the team.
In the meantime, you can find the standalone password generator by following these steps:
- Click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
- Click on the menu icon and then click Password Generator.
You can read more about the custom password generator here: Custom browser generator

Hi Dave,
I'm sorry, I can't give you the link. It happened a couple times when I was setting up 1Password. I used the generator to make a PW for those sites and got it set up. I'm sorry I don't remember what websites those were at this point... BUT if I see this behavior again I'll take note of it and pass it on to you.

Hi,
Okay - it just happened again. Trying to get into a Cobra site for my previous employer, it won't auto generate a new PW for me... https://leplb0650.upoint.ap.alight.com/ah-angular-afirst-web/#/web/wm/login?forkPage=false

Thank you for the reply. When I try to access that page I just see a login page and not a password change page or an account registration page. I don't have an account for that website so it's possible that you might be seeing something different if you have an account and are logged in. Are you clicking on either the "Forgot User ID or Password?" or "New User?" options on the page?
To help me better understand the situation, I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of what you're seeing and attach it to your reply:
Make sure that nothing sensitive is visible in the screenshot.
