Autofill picks wrong login from shared vault

I share several login items with my wife. I put these items in a Shared Vault. However for some of these items when I attempt to login 1Password autofills my wife's login data.

Is there a way to set it up so when I access an item from the shared account it autofills with my credentials for me and hers for her?

  • Hello pinacate! 👋

Thanks for reaching out. 1Password will only ever fill an item if you've chosen to fill it. When you access a website you'll see 1Password offer suggestions for all logins that it finds in your vault for that website:

When you access a webpage where both you and your wife have a login saved in 1Password do you see multiple suggestions for each of your logins? 1Password shouldn't be filling your wife's login if you select your login from the suggestions menu.

Is it possible that the wrong login information was saved in one of the shared items or that it's mislabeled? You can use the 1Password app to reveal the login information in each of the items so that you can make sure that they're labeled properly.

I have this same problem for an app on my phone. (Delta) 1Password looks like it chooses my login, but it fills everything from my husband's login.

I want to see my travel, not his. This is related to my other bug report: 1Password saves in the wrong vault or does not save at all | 1Password Community. As far as I can tell, you all keep telling us 1Password works as designed. It does not.

Saving into the wrong vault and pulling items from the wrong vault (browser or Ios app) is incorrect. It is a defect. Please acknowledge this and give us a timeframe for fixing. Thank you.

Oh,  now 1Password appears to do this for every *single* item in our vaults. It pulls the credit card from His vault, not Mine. Every login. Every credit card.

Instead of pulling from Hers (my vault), it pulls from His (my husband's vault).

Please give me an ETA on your:

        1. Acknowledgement that you see this.
        2. That you can duplicate this.
        3. That you expect to fix it.

Because right now, 1Password is not just unusable, it requires more work to use.

I'm using Brave with the 1Password extension.
