Product Updates (release notes) and overly-lengthy/repetitive headers

Hi all!

It might just be me, but I have a habit of looking at the "Product Updates" portion of the support website quite often--mostly to get a sense of what is changing in the beta releases (without taking the risk of actually installing those releases) :-)

However, most of the platforms have a really lengthy header (which repeats a LOT of information). Check out the one for "1P in the Browser" for an example of hearing about Passkeys for about a billion releases ;-)

I'd prefer if every platform simply had the "What's New" section, but I know these release notes serve multiple purposes. Perhaps beta releases only have the "What's new" section, and official release have the whole up-front marketing spiel?

Food for thought?

Thanks!

  • Hello @bspachman! 👋

Thank you for the feedback! If you'd just like to see the new changes and fixes, and skip the preamble, then you can bookmark the "What's New" section by including the #whats-new URL fragment in the website address like this:

Let me know if I've misunderstood. 🙂

You've understood the basic issue 😊, but having bookmarks that include the anchor portion of the link seems excessive to me. Mostly, I jump to the front of the "Product Releases" section (https://releases.1password.com/) and scroll through to see if there's a newer date for any given platform. If there is, I'll "Read More", but that puts me right at the top of the preamble 🙁

It's certainly an esoteric request, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

    Thanks!
