When I click the URL in a login entry, nothing happens. The 'website' field shows 'Open and Fill'. I have not enabled autofill (intentionally). I want it to open the url without autofilling, and without having to copy the URL and paste into Safari

1Password Version: 7.9.11
Extension Version: 7.9.11
OS Version: macOS 14.4.1
Browser: Safari

  • Hello @dmlee! 👋

I'm sorry that nothing is happening when you click on a website address in 1Password 7. Try the following steps:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit 1Password Completely. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

Then try to open a website address again.

If that doesn't work then, since 1Password 7 is no longer supported, I recommend that you upgrade to 1Password 8. If you do run into the issue with 1Password 8 then please let me know.

Thanks! Restarting 1Password didn't fix it, but changing to 1Password 8 did. Oddly, the Apple App Store had V7 available, but not V8

I'm happy that updating to 1Password 8 resolved the issue. 🙂

For anyone else looking for 1Password 8, you can download the app directly through our website: https://1password.com/downloads
