Mark Read button?

I like the way, AgileBits designed this Vanilla Forum Software. What I'm missing is a "Mark Read" button (as known from the IP.Board forum software). Imo extremely useful and should not be missing.

    If you mean for an entire category, just click the gear and select "Mark Read".

    Was looking in the specific categories but it's in the category overview. OK, will make a note in my head...

    but I don't see any optical change to forum sections I've marked "read". So how can I know if they include new discussions?
