How do I create a smart folder of untagged Logins?

I'm not sure what version you're using, but in 4.0.9 you can do the following (which works for me):
- Choose Show search options from the Search dropdown.
- Select the category you want to search.
- Leave All of the following are true selected and click the + sign on the far right.
- From the Title dropdown choose Number of tags. From the next dropdown choose is and type 0 in the final box.
You can then save the search.

Weird when I select "Number of Tags" in build Version 4.0.9 (409002) 1Password simply crashes on me :-(

If it's still doing that try restarting 1P mini (Help > Troubleshooting > Restart 1Password mini). The tag search did work for me in 4.0.9—but I, too, had a crash when selecting Number of tags the first time I used it.

Thank you Stephan for...
a) Giving me a work around for the loss of the "untagged" tag in version 4 this was meaningful to me because I used it like an inbox for newly added items before filling /sorting with tags
b) Giving such a quick clear illustration of how to save searches and create smart folders. In Gratitude, Winston0 -
Winston, I'm glad some of these old posts are still helpful!

Dear Stephen
Please correct me if this is not the proper place to ask this question. I am new to using forums and eager to learn. ...
I installed the smart folder you described and was so relieved to have my old inbox system up and running again on my imac. However I can not figure out how to get this great smart folder to synce to my other computer and IOS devices. Do Smart folders not sync? I could recreate on my other mac. If I need to create the on each device separately; are the steps above applicable to IOS devices. Thank you for sharing your knowledge,0 -
Winston, smart folders are not currently supported in 1P4 for iOS, although AgileBits has said it's something they want to bring over to iOS (but without mentioning a timetable for doing so).
I am not by any means an expert on sync between Macs but you could try using folder sync on the Mac on which you've created the smart folder and see if transferring the resulting keychain to the other Mac also transfers the smart folder. It might just be easier to recreate the smart folder on the other Mac! :)
Sorry not to be more help. Others may have better ideas.

Hi, @Winston9.
Are you currently doing any type syncing of 1Password data between your Macs and iOS devices? Even though Smart Folders aren't supported in 1P4 on iOS right now, like @Stephen_C mentioned, having automatic syncing with Dropbox or iCloud would be surely be more convenient than any sort of manual syncing. :)
