Password generator will not allow a numeric-only password over 10 characters.
Password generator will not allow a numeric-only password over 10 characters. If longer than 10 chars, it adds in alpha characters, even when the numbers slider is set to maximum right side. This is unexpected.
You may reproduce this with Password mini by opening the Password Generator, select a password length more then 10, and slide the number of digits all the way to maximum (right). The max number of numbers is stuck at 10, so the PG adds alpha letters to reach the specified length. So if you wanted a generated password of more than 10 chars and it must contain only numbers, it is not possible.
Oh, and it used to be possible to edit the generated passwords right in the PG window. Please return this feature to us. I used it all the time.

I haven't tried this, but you might try clicking "Allow characters to repeat" (see your screenshot) and see if that solves the issue. If characters are not allowed to repeat, the 10 would seem to be an obvious single digit numerical max.

Hi @macmedix,
Thanks so much for that detailed report. You're right, the digit slider does currently max out at 10. I'll mention to our developers that you'd like a bit flexibility here.
I have also passed along your feedback to allow editing of the password within 1Password Mini. You're not the only one who misses this feature :)

@Megan
Would you like to attach my vote for a more powerful mini window/password generator? I'd like to be able to generate passwords that follow recipes like this: "length: 30, at least 2 digits, at most 7 digits, at least 3 symbols, at most 9 symbols" or something like that. Because I am lazy I generally leave the two sliders on 4-5 of each which slightly lowers my password strength from "a damned very long time to brute force" to "a very long time to brute force". :)0 -
Hi @Niklas,
I'd be happy to add your vote to this feature. We certainly don't want to make the password generator too complicated and cluttered up with an excess of options that the average user doesn't need, but the suggestions you make sound pretty reasonable. I've passed this along to our developers - thanks!
