Roll back to 1Password 3

Hi @Kiki,
I'm sorry that you're not loving 1Password 4 so much you just have to have all the shiny new features, but I understand. :) It certainly is possible to downgrade to 1Password 3. Here's what you want to do:
- First of all, if you have already deleted 1Password 3, you can download a fresh copy here: http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/legacy_versions.html.
- Install it, but don't open it just yet.
Now, we want to make sure that your 1Password 4 data is in a format that 1Password 3 can read before removing 1Password 4:
- Make a backup of your 1Password 4 database (File > Backup) ... just to be safe.
- Go to Preferences > Sync and change syncing to Folder Sync (use
~/Library/Application Support/1Password/
as the sync location) or Dropbox. - Use Command - Control - Q to quit 1Password 4 and the 1Password Mini
- Open a Finder window to the path above (or Dropbox) and find your 1Password.agilekeychain
- Right-click on the 1Password.agilekeychain and select 'Open in 1Password 3'.
Once you confirm that your data is safely transferred into 1Password 3, you can remove 1Password 4.
Important: to remove 1Password 4, drag the application to the Trash. Do not use any app cleaners.
You will also need to uninstall any version 4 browser extensions you have installed and install the version 3 extensions: https://agilebits.com/extensions/mac/index.html
If you don't have a copy of your version 3 license, please let me know and I can track it down in our records for you.
Please let me know how this works for you! If you run into any snags, we're here to help.
