Hi, I updated to 1Password 4 several months ago and uninstalled the Safari extension as per the instructions but every day get the notification to uninstall the extension even though it is not there. I have dug through the application preferences library folder and everywhere else I could think of but there do not appear to be any remaining extension files lurking around. I reinstalled and uninstalled the old extension several times but have not been able to resolve the issue.

(OS X 10.9.2 (13C64), Macbook Air 11-inch, Mid 2012, 1Password Version 4.1.2 (412009), Safari Version 7.0.2 (9537.74.9))

    Hi @Mike McArthur‌,

I'm sorry that Safari keeps warning you about having an old 1Password extension installed. One reason that can happen is when another user account is logged in on your Mac who's still running 1Password 3 and its Safari extension. Could you check if that's why you're seeing the extension warning in your account? And if no one is actively using 1Password 3 then removing its extension from every account should resolve that issue. Please let us know if that helps. :)

Thank you! That was exactly the problem. It was only a minor annoyance but grateful for your response. 1Password is my lifeline, I love it.

  • On behalf of @sjk, you're welcome! I'm glad that helped. :)
