Editing scripts

Is there a way of doing the following: (1) Pausing a login script between actions - sometimes the script seems to go too fast for a web site to load, the script completes in a text version of a site that seems to load first, then the graphical version loads and the script has already run. (2) Adding a line in a login script in edit mode - I have a site where I have to tab through a pre-filled text box in between entering a name and a password which 1Password 4 doesn't capture. (3) Step through a script on the relevant site to debug it? Thanks,

  • Hi @PeterT01,

You can't edit the 1Password browser extension's filling algorithms.

1Password shouldn't fill the login until the page had loaded. Could you please post the URL of the site?

If 1Password is not filling a certain page correctly, we recommend saving a new login manually. If that doesn't work, please post the URL of the page for us to take a look at.

Like I said, if you're having trouble with certain URLs, please pass them along to us and we can take a look.

Let us know if you have any other questions! :)

Thanks for the response, sorry it's taken a while to get back to you.
Re adding a line in the script, this is the url of the site: https://portal.plus.net/index_portal.html?home=login Note there is a selection required between the username and the password and I can't figure out how to set this up. The others I will have to find again.

    Hi @PeterT01,

Thanks so much for sending along that URL! I've done some testing here, and 1Password doesn't seem to recognize that middle field. Now, the best way to solve this is to simply disable auto-submit for the Login. (Just edit the entry in the main app and scroll down to the submit option and select 'Never'). Then 1Password can fill your information and allow you to select the appropriate item from the dropdown list.

I hope this helps! If there are other URLs you'd like us to test, we're here for you :)
